La Sirene's Altar

Love Art  Creativity  Music  Beauty

La Sirene’, the essence of the sea – the salty brine in which all

things manifest.  The creative juices from which all things are

born.

We all come from the sea.  La Sirene’ sings her beautiful,

eerie song, luring us to rise out of the waters and follow our

destinies into the unknown.

The Great Ocean, the vast waters of our deep psyche – She

communicates to us through emotion.  Love is Her essence.

No-one can resist her call.  We all follow Her voice into

temptation and find ourselves somewhere unexpected, to learn

lessons which will ultimately set us free.

The path of La Sirene’ is one of self-discovery and personal

initiation.  She offers salvation to those who dare to seek the

Truth and find their Will,  Love drives us, the intrinsic

instinct of all beings to love and be loved.  To merge with and

be part of something Greater.

Her magickal tool is the mirror.  To move forward on our

journey is to face ourselves and take responsibility for our lives

and actions.  As we look into the mirror at our reflections, La

Sirene’ is looking back at us.  She sees us, even when we do

not see Her.

La Sirene’ Is beauty – as is love, art and all things creative.

The key to success is to seek beauty in all things.  To accept,

without judgement, the way things are is the way they’re meant

to be.  If we seek change, it should be in ourselves, to allow us

to flow more gracefully with the ever-changing tides of life.

Call to La Sirene’ when you need artistic inspiration and

musical abilities.  If you seek a lover’s love or a mother’s

wisdom.  Call to her when you wish to acknowledge the colour

and beauty of life itself, to experience a creative change in

perspective – the beauty in yourself.

March 2011 Rituals

After surveying the cemetery we located it's oldest male and female residents, 1863 and 1864 respectfully, we asked their permission and laid down "the Ancestors" in their honour, a feast of food fragrance and music followed for them and us the living.

Carnival featured largely as not only did we commit with art and pain to the gods but also to the skin.

Ghede had been lurking around for a while, watching from the fringe, amused at our antics, finally on the darkest night of the year they manifest in the flesh and we gave at the crossroads took them for a tour of the town and peeked into the life of the humans.
